A global medical technology company that has expanded through acquisition, they changed brand strategy in 2017, unifying all of their divisions under the single Getinge brand.

A new brand identity

With a single brand approach, the Getinge team faced the challenge of updating all of their sites, ready for launch. The rebrand was divided into seven work streams, including HR, Product marketing, IT and global signage.

As rebrand partner for their global signage programme, our team worked closely with their Brand and Facilities teams:

We leveraged the rebrand of their historic Maquet site in Rastatt, Germany to help create excitement and secure employee engagement. This is one of their main facilities in Europe, and the reveal of the new building signage was witnessed by many of the thousand employees who work on site.

Strategic signage advice

Strategic input was given into the signage specifications to ensure that it was absolutely fit-for-purpose. We proposed more suitable alternatives to the original specifications: advising on the finish, LED temperatures and dimensions.

In a fragmented company structure, based on a long history of mergers and acquisitions with limited consolidation and strong local leadership, GLIMMA was instrumental in the success to implement a new shared signage profile globally, creating a much desired visual identity alignment and unification of our company. In addition their dedicated and professional project management meant this was achieved in a very structured way to set quality levels and involving limited company resources, causing minimum disturbance to our business.
