GLIMMA has created a strategically important new role within the senior management team and appointed Ross Haxton as Creative & Brand Services Director.
Ross is a seasoned brand and design professional who has worked directly within the creative services industry for more than 20 years. In his new role, Ross will draw on this experience to work with both clients and their creative agencies to deliver optimal branding solutions.
With strategic design insight, Ross will be in charge of the team that is responsible for defining, shaping and delivering brand solutions for complex client branding programs, ensuring that solutions are developed effectively, quickly and to exacting specifications.
Ross will also be responsible for the development and marketing of services such as brand governance, brand valuation, brand audits and change management. This reflects GLIMMA’s strategic move towards broadening its range of services and transforming from a brand implementation specialist to a full service brand management company.
Peter Koomen, Managing Director, GLIMMA explains,
“The move towards becoming a full service provider of brand management services is a natural step for GLIMMA. Increasingly we have found that our clients have valued and they continue to request the wider scope of work we have been undertaking recently: the nuts and bolts of brand implementation have naturally spilled over into other work such as brand audits. Ross, with his unrivalled design experience and branding insights, is perfectly positioned to drive this strategic change, formalizing and strengthening our understanding so that we can continue to proactively support both our clients and their agencies.”
The creation of this new role is also testament to the importance that GLIMMA attaches to its partnerships with the wider design industry. Working alongside our clients’ creative agencies, we will continue to translate their design concepts into practical branding solutions.
Starting his design career at Landor, Ross quickly gained a wide range of experience at a number of European design agencies, attaining particular expertise in the retail field. This was reinforced when he took the helm at SCG International, building further on both his design and commercial acumen.
“I am delighted to join GLIMMA, particularly at such an exciting time for the business. With a Gold Transform Award for its rebrand of Suez Environnement, new offices, new partnerships and an expanding international network, the business is clearly set on a trajectory for growth. I’m looking forward to being part of the team that will lead the company’s strategic change and drive further growth through the deployment of first-class client projects.”
Ross has a first class BA (Hons) in Interior Design Furniture from Edinburgh College of Art.
